Marilyn Blen, president of Botanical Alternatives, worked with Dr. David Zava at the cutting edge of breast cancer and hormone research and diagnostics for thirteen years. Among other research projects, she studied the effects of plant hormones on human breast cancer cells and did laboratory testing for many clinical research studies on the physiological effects of progesterone and other hormones. As a result of her research, Ms Blen concluded that bioidentical progesterone (natural progesterone) is highly effective in relieving menopausal symptoms, preventing osteoporosis and reproductive cancer (breast, ovarian, uterine, testicular, prostate), and improving a person's quality of health. Many women reach perimenopause and need to supplement with natural progesterone, but cannot find a product that doesn't contain harmful preservatives or carcinogenic chemicals that may be absorbed into the body.  She developed a cream base consisting only of botanical products and natural preservatives that both men and women can use with confidence.  Others have recognized the value of using body care products that will not harm you and have improved their quality of health in both the short and long term.
